Ingredients
- 1 Tenderflake pie crust
- 4 apples cut to bite sized pieces
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- ¾ teaspoon cinnamon
- ¼ teaspoon nutmeg
- ¼ teaspoon salt
In a large bowl, toss together all of the filling ingredients. Put into pie crust.
Topping Ingredients
- 2 cups gluten-free rolled oats, divided. Process one cup of rolled oats in the food processor.
- 3/4 cup packed light brown sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
Mix topping ingredients together. Add on top of apple mixture.
- 8 tablespoons (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted and cooled
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
Drizzle the butter and vanilla over the oat mixture and stir to combine
Instructions
Preheat oven to 425°F. Bake until the fruit juices are bubbling around the edges of the baking dish and the topping is golden and firm to the touch, 30 to 35 minutes.
