Ahi Tuna

We bought a Ahi Tuna steak (not sushi grade – do not eat raw, which means no poke) from Save-ons and marinate it with the following for at least 30 min or overnight:

  • 2 tablespoon regular strength soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoon freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon Asian toasted sesame oil (found in the Asian aisle)
  • 2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 teaspoon granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1 teaspoon freshly cracked black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon honey (optional)

Grill on high 2 mins per side until internal temp of 115°F

Bring the leftover marinade to a boil (to kill any bacteria) as a salad dressing.
