Churro

Ingredients

  • Vegetable oil for frying
  • 1 cup water
  • 3 tablespoons unsalted butter
  • 1 1/2 tablespoon sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 cup of flour
  • 1 large egg

Instructions

Fill a pot or dutch oven 2″ deep with oil until oil reaches 375°F

In a saucepan combine water, butter, sugar, and salt over medium heat. Stir until mixture comes to a boil. Then add vanilla and flour. Let cool.

Once cooled, using hand mixer, beat in egg. Transfer mixture to ziploc bag or piping bag.

Pipe churros into heated oil. Fry 3 to four churros until golden about 4 to 5 minutes. Removed with slotted spoon or tongs and roll into cinnamon and sugar.
